This program is designed to provide training for all personnel required to safely perform work at heights. The course and will provide an understanding of the hazards and mitigation controls associated with working at height, equipment requirements and inspection protocols as well as emergency response procedures and rescue techniques.
Falls are a major cause of injury and death in Nova Scotia workplaces. A vast majority of those are falls from height. Most of these accidents occur because fall protection equipment and training was not in place. Nova Scotia employers are required to train personnel to work safely at height. This program covers the fundamentals of fall protection for employees working at height in Nova Scotia.
